EASTERN ONTARIO ELEMENTARY HONOUR BAND
ABOUT
The Ontario Band Association is proud to announce the fifth annual Eastern Ontario Elementary Honour Band! This ensemble will draw students from Kingston to Renfrew to Ottawa! The band will run on Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Students from Grade 7 & 8 can be recommended by their teachers to be in the ensemble. The teacher recommendation form will be available in the new year. Please note that a limit of seven (7) students can be recommended from any one school. Recommendations must be completed by February 28, 2020. Complete registration is due to be completed by parents by March 3, 2020. The participation fee for the weekend will be $55.
Honour Bands are a great chance for students to meet other like-minded individuals and work towards a common goal. The EOEHB is an educational, high-level, concert band that will develop not only the participants' musical capabilities, but also their self confidence, team work and spirit, which they will bring home and to school to positively affect everyone who is around them.
